LAYERED LETTUCE SALAD | |
1 head lettuce 4 eggs, hard boiled and sliced 1/2 c. green peppers, diced 8 slices bacon, fried and crumbled 2 tbsp. sugar 1 c. celery, diced 1 (10 oz.) pkg. frozen peas 1 med. sweet onion 2 c. mayonnaise 4 oz. cheddar cheese, grated Wash and tear lettuce in bite size pieces. Place in a 9 x 12 glass dish. Layer rest of ingredients in order given. Add sugar to mayonnaise and spread over top as you would frosting. Top with cheese. Cover and refrigerate for 8 to 12 hours before serving. |
