CRUNCHY GREEN SALAD | |
1/4 c. chopped pecans 2 tbsp. sugar 8 c. assorted greens 2 c. sliced celery 2 c. green grapes, halved 1/3 c. pomegranate seeds 3 kiwi fruits, peeled, sliced DRESSING: 1/4 c. oil 2 tbsp. vinegar 2 tbsp. sugar 1/2 tsp. salt Put all dressing ingredients in a jar. Shake well. Refrigerate. Put pecans and sugar in a small skillet, stir over low heat until the sugar melts and coats pecans. Remove nuts from pan and spread on waxed paper. Prepare greens and fruits. At serving time combine greens in large bowl. Add celery, grapes, pomegranate and kiwi. Pour dressing over all and toss well. Add pecans and serve. 10 cups. |
