SPAGHETTI CASSEROLE | |
2 lbs. hamburger 1 med. onion, chopped Garlic 1 lg. jar spaghetti sauce (no meat) 1 can stewed tomatoes 1 (3 oz.) can mushrooms 16 oz. shell macaroni 1 1/2 pts. sour cream 1 to 1 1/2 lbs. Provoloni cheese 1 to 1 1/2 lbs. Mozzarella cheese Cook beef; drain. Add onions, garlic, sauce, tomatoes, and undrained mushrooms. Simmer 20 minutes. Cook macaroni shells; drain and rinse with cold water (at least 4 quart size) using Dutch oven - 1/2 macaroni, 1/2 meat sauce, and spread half sour cream. Top with slices of Provolini cheese. Repeat, then top with Mozzarella cheese. Cover and bake at 350 degrees for 35 to 40 minutes. Remove cover; bake until Mozzarella melts and browns slightly. |
