MOM'S FLANK STEAK | |
1 flank steak (1 3/4 lb.) MARINADE: 1 tsp. salt 1/2 tsp. black pepper 1/4 tsp. basil 1/4 tsp. rosemary 1 clove garlic, mashed 1/2 onion, chopped 1 tbsp. wine vinegar 2 tbsp. salad oil Combine ingredients in a shallow dish. Brush both sides of steak with marinade. Let stand in mixture 2 hours. Broil 3 inches from heat 5 minutes. Turn, brush with remaining marinade and broil another 4 minutes. Slice steak diagonally across grain, thin as possible. Spoon pan juices over meat. Serves 4-6. |
