CINNAMON LAYER COFFEE CAKE 
1/2 pt. dairy sour cream
1 1/2 c. sugar
1/2 c. chopped nuts
1 tbsp. cinnamon
1/2 c. butter
2 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla extract
1 tbsp. lemon juice
2 c. sifted flour
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. salt

Mix and set aside 1/2 cup sugar, nuts, and cinnamon; cream butter and beat in 1 cup sugar, eggs, vanilla and lemon juice. Sift flour, baking powder, soda, and salt. Mix butter mixture with sour cream. Pour 1/2 batter into buttered 9 x 9 x 2 pan, sprinkle with some of the cinnamon mixture. Spread remaining batter and topping. Bake in 350 degree oven for 35 minutes.
