CINNAMON FLOP (Coffee Cake) 
1 1/2 c. sugar
2 tbsp. melted butter
1 beaten egg
2 c. flour
2 tsp. baking powder
1 c. milk

Cream together the 1 1/2 cups sugar with 2 tablespoons melted butter. Add beaten egg. Sift flour and baking powder together. Add flour mixture alternately with milk to the sugar and butter mixture. Spread in greased 8 x 8 inch pan.

TOPPING:

1 c. light brown sugar
3 tbsp. butter
Cinnamon

Sprinkle brown sugar over the top, dot several places with little pieces of butter (the 3 tablespoons not melted) and sprinkle generously with cinnamon.

Bake at 425 degrees for approximately 25 minutes until brown and toothpick comes out of cake part clean.
