1 c. milk
1/2 c. butter
1 c. butter
1/2 c. sugar
1/2 tsp. salt
6 1/2 c. flour
2 pkg. yeast
4 egg yolks

Warm milk, water, and butter until melted. Then add salt and sugar and mix. Add 2-3 tablespoons hot water to the yeast and mix together then add it to the milk and sugar mixture. Then add the egg yolks and the flour, one cup at a time until a dough is formed. Let rise 1 hour, knead it for a few minutes then roll it out flat. Spread some softened butter over the dough and sprinkle some sugar and cinnamon over the top. Cut three strips lengthwise and braid them. Let rise another half hour and then bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes. Serve warm.
