CINNAMON COFFEE CAKE OR ROLLS 
1/2 c. milk
1/2 tsp. salt
1 pkg. yeast
1/2 c. warm water
1 egg, beaten
3 1/2 c. flour
1/4 c. melted butter
2/3 c. sugar
1 tbsp. cinnamon

Scald milk, add 1/4 cup sugar, salt and shortening. Cool to lukewarm. Dissolve yeast in very warm water. Add milk mixture and beaten egg to yeast. Gradually beat in enough flour to make soft dough. Knead lightly and place in greased bowl and let stand for 1 hour. Roll dough out in flat square and brush with melted butter. Sprinkle with sugar and cinnamon mixture. Roll like jelly roll and cut into 1 inch pieces. Place dough in greased pan, cover and let rise in warm place until doubled. Bake at 375 degrees for 25 minutes. You may also follow hot-rize method on yeast package.
