RICE PILAF 
1/4 lb. butter
1/4 c. chopped onion
1 tsp. oregano
1 (8 oz.) can mushrooms
3/4 c. rice
1 (10 l/2 oz.) beef consomme
3/4 c. water
1/4 c. sherry

Simmer first five ingredients on stove for 20 minutes. Put in 13 x 9 pan and add last 3 ingredients. Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour covered 1/2 hour uncovered.
