MY SISTER JENNIE'S SWEDISH
MEATBALLS
 
1 lb. ground beef
1/4 c. onion soup mix
1/2 tsp. salt
1/4 c. canned milk
3 oz. pkg. cream cheese
1 c. finely crumbled bread
1/2 tsp. nutmeg

Mix all ingredients thoroughly. Knead and squeeze. Gives a butter-like texture. Roll into ice cream ball size meatballs and fry slowly. Remove from pan. Make gravy with drippings: 2 heaping tablespoons flour and 1 1/2 cups milk. When the gravy is thick and smooth. Place the meatballs into it. Mmmm
