BACON-WATERCHESTNUT HORS
D'OEUVRES
 
1 (6 oz.) can water chestnuts (small can)
1 pkg. bacon (approximately 1 lb.)
Toothpicks

SAUCE:

6 tbsp. brown sugar
1/2 c. ketchup
2 tbsp. vinegar

Cut each waterchestnut in half (so they are bite size). Cut each slice of bacon in thirds. Wrap each 1/3 piece of bacon around each 1/2 piece of waterchestnuts. Then stick a toothpick through each to hold the bacon around the waterchestnut. Continue until you run out of bacon and waterchestnuts. Place in a pan and bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes. While baking, combine remaining ingredients for the sauce. After they have baked, add sauce mixture. Then bake again at 350 degrees for 30 minutes. Then serve hot!
