NUT TREE MARSHMALLOW DRESSING 
5 oz. light Karo syrup
1 c. sugar
1/2 c. hot water
5 egg whites
Vanilla to taste
1/3 c. mayonnaise
Orange rind, grated

Combine sugar, syrup and hot water. Cook until 248 degrees on candy thermometer or until it forms a thread. Beat egg whites stiff. Pour syrup slowly into egg whites, continuing to beat about 5 minutes. Add vanilla when cool. Add mayonnaise and orange rind. Serve over fruit salad.
