It was a very easy to follow, straight forward recipe. The result was pleasing, and so far, we haven't found any faults or mistakes with the ratios pertaining to the ingredients. It was very nice and simple. Easy for kids. We would recommend first using your hands to soften the mixture, and then using an electric hand beater to beat it to an even, smooth consistency. Overall, this recipe deserves five stars for it's use of simple household ingredients, easy-to-follow directions, and stellar taste.

i love it! if yours turned out lumpy then it was probably the sugar try sifting it and if its still lumpy add milk. i added brown sugar at the end then put on my cupcakes then added brown sugar on the top it was perfect! Mmm! Mmm!

This is a great recipe!! im 13 and it was so easy! when i own my own restaurant, this will be a frosting on my white cakes! also, if your too lazy to thin it out a little or sift the powdered sugar, then you shouldnt be baking, because baking takes patience, which you must not have!!! but its a great recipe!

I have made this icing for years but easier than yours. 1 stick margarine or butter; 1# confectioner's sugar; 1 tsp.vanilla & 2 Tablespoons milk. Put all in electric mixer (start slowly until sugar is moistened) then beat on high for 5 minutes. Add any color and/or flavor.

frosting is so easy - the recipes are basically the same, so play with them and find your favourite. Mine is coffee with a dash of Kahlua! Adults on ly of course!

This recipe is very good and is easy to make I ran out of powdered sugar so I used a food processor. It came out great. This is my first time making it.

Also, you can add some (about 3/4 tsp.) of unsweetened cocoa to get really good chocolate frosting!

If u made this and think its too sweet remember that frosting is nothing but butter and sugar and always will taste sweet. It's the ratio of frosting to your cake or cupcake that matters. You can always spread less on top or even make a less sweet cake. Really sweet cakes don't need as much frosting!

This recipe is amazing! You will regret it if you don't try! I added few (like...9?) sprinkles to it to make in kinda rainbow! This frosting is the best frosting I ever had. ^_^
