PEPPERMINT STICKS 
2 c. all-purpose flour
1 c. sugar
1 c. butter, softened
1 egg, separated
1 tsp. vanilla extract
1 (6 oz.) pkgs. semi-sweet chocolate chips
1/2 c. crushed peppermint candy

Combine flour, sugar, butter, egg yolk and vanilla in large mixing bowl; mix well. Stir in chocolate chips. Press dough into ungreased 15"x10" jelly roll pan. Beat egg white until frothy; brush over dough. Sprinkle with candy. Bake at 350 degrees for 25 to 30 minutes or until golden brown. Cool slightly. Cut into bars. Yield: 40 bars.
