3 c. chocolate chips 1 (14 oz.) can sweetened condensed milk dash of salt 1/2 to 1 c. chopped nuts (optional) 1 1/2 tsp. vanilla Line an 8 or 9-inch square pan with foil. Butter foil and set aside. In a heavy saucepan, melt chocolate chips with sweetened condensed milk and salt. Remove from heat. Stir in nuts and vanilla. Spread evenly in prepared pan. Chill 2 hours or until firm. Turn fudge onto cutting board. Peel off foil and cut into squares. Store covered in refrigerator. Yields about 2 pounds. |
