BAKED FISH CASSEROLE | |
1 lb. fish fillets (Walleye or lake perch) 1 med. green peppers 1 sm. chopped onion Salt and pepper to taste 2 c. buttered bread crumbs BASIC WHITE SAUCE: 3 tbsp. flour 2 tbsp. butter 1 1/2 c. milk Drain fish well on paper towels. Grease baking dish (8 inch square). Lay fish in bottom. Sprinkle with chopped green pepper and onion, and salt and pepper to taste. Pour white sauce over fish. Top with buttered bread crumbs. Bake at 350 degrees, 30 to 45 minutes or until golden brown. Wonderful, even to non fish lovers. |
