RIGATONI 
1 1/2 lb. ground beef
3/4 c. sliced mushrooms, drained (4 oz. can)
1/2 c. chopped onions
1 clove garlic, minced
1 tsp. pepper
1/2 tsp. oregano
1/4 tsp. basil
3 1/2 c. whole tomatoes, chopped (two 14 1/2 oz. cans)
2/3 c. tomato paste (6 oz. can)
1 (8 oz.) pkg. Rigatoni macaroni

Brown beef in large skillet until almost done. Add mushrooms, onions, and garlic and cook until onion is tender. Drain off fat. Stir in remaining ingredients except Rigatoni; bring to boil then reduce heat and simmer covered, stirring occasionally, 30 minutes. Cook Rigatoni according to package directions; drain. Stir into meat sauce before serving. Sprinkle with cheese if desired. Serve. Makes about 6 servings.
