ENGLISH TOFFEE 
1 c. butter
1 c. sugar
1 c. sliced almonds
5 sm. plain Hershey bars

Melt butter, sugar and 1/2 cup almonds. Cook on medium/hot heat 10 to 15 minutes; stirring constantly. Cook until golden brown. Pour onto cookie sheet. Place candy bars on tops of candy. Spread over candy as chocolate melts. Sprinkle 1/2 cup almonds over top of chocolate and pat gently into chocolate. When cool, break into small pieces.
