SWEET PICKLES 
1 gal. sliced (or sm.) whole cucumbers
2 c. lime
1 gal. water
8 c. sugar
8 c. white vinegar
2 tbsp. pickling spice
1 tbsp. celery seed
1 tbsp. canning salt

Soak cucumbers overnight in 2 cups lime dissolved in 1 gallon water. Next day wash gently but thoroughly; soak 2 hours in ice water. Drain. Mix cucumber, sugar, vinegar, spice, celery and salt. Boil for 1 hour. Pack in jars. Seal.
