8 slices white bread
1/4 lb. butter
2 apples
3/4 c. sugar
1/2 c. cinnamon
Juice of 1/2 lemon
Dash of apple pie spices

Trim thin edge off bread from all sides of bread. Softened butter should be spread on both sides of each slice of bread. Peel and slice apples thinly. Place half of an apple or 4 pieces on bread. Spread sugar over apple. Add butter and dash of cinnamon on 4 of 8 slices. Apple slices and lemon juice should be added before topping with other slice of buttered bread. Put on baking sheet and place in 300 degree oven until brown.
