MICROWAVE RICE 
1 c. rice
1 3/4 c. water
1 tsp. salt
1 tbsp. butter

Cook in a 2-quart Pyrex bowl covered with Saran Wrap in microwave. Cook on high 8 minutes, then turn to low and cook 12 minutes.

Since microwave ovens vary in power, you may need to adjust your cooking time.
