HEATHER'S ITALIAN MEAT SAUCE 
3 (28 oz. ea.) cans crushed tomatoes
1 (6 oz.) can tomato paste
1 lb. ground beef
1 large onion, chopped
4 garlic cloves, minced
3 tbsp. butter
1 tbsp. dry basil
1 1/2 tsp. dry oregano
1 1/2 tbsp. sugar
1 tsp. rosemary
1 tsp. browning sauce
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. pepper

Melt butter in frying pan on low/medium heat. Add onions, stir frequently, cook for 5 minutes. Reduce heat to low, add garlic, stir frequently, continue to cook for an additional 7 minutes.

Place onion mixture into a large sauce pot. Set aside.

Begin cooking the beef in the same frying pan the onions were in, until cooked well and brown. Drain when ready.

Meanwhile, add remaining ingredients and beef to sauce pot, stir well, cover, and simmer on low for 2 hours. Stir sauce every 30 minutes until done.

Serve with your favorite pasta. Enjoy!
