TEXAS TORNADO CAKE | |
2 c. flour 2 c. sugar 1/2 tsp. salt 1 tsp. baking soda 2 sticks butter 4 tbsp. cocoa 1 c. water 1/2 c. sour cream 2 eggs Combine flour, sugar, salt and soda. Set aside. Combine butter, cocoa and water and bring to boil. Add to flour mixture and mix well. Stir in eggs and sour cream. Pour into a greased sheet cake pan or jelly roll pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 20 to 25 minutes. Frost while cake is still hot. ICING: 1 stick butter 6 tbsp. milk 4 tbsp. cocoa 1 box confectioners' sugar 1 c. chopped pecans 1 tsp. vanilla Combine butter, milk and cocoa and bring to a boil. Stir in sugar and mix well. Add nuts and vanilla. Spread on hot cake. |
