2 c. plain flour
1 c. shortening
1 c. sugar
2 eggs
1 tsp. baking soda
1 c. buttermilk
1 tbsp. orange rind

FILLING:

1 c. orange juice
1 c. sugar

Cream shortening and sugar. Add eggs. Add milk and flour alternately. Add soda and orange rind. Bake for 35-40 minutes at 350 degrees. While cake is still hot pour on orange juice and sugar.
