SNOWFLAKE COOKIES 
1 c. powdered sugar
1 c. white sugar
1 c. butter
1 c. cooking oil
2 eggs
1 tsp. almond flavoring
4 1/2 c. flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. cream of tartar

Mix first 6 ingredients well. Add dry ingredients which have been sifted together. Chill in refrigerator 2 hours. Roll into balls and flatten with sugared bottom of glass.

Bake at 350°F for 15 minutes.

Yields 7 to 8 dozen.
