SHREDDED BEEF WITH PEPPERS 
10 oz. tender beef
2 tbsp. soy sauce
1/2 c. plus 3 tbsp. peanut oil
2 tsp. cornstarch
1/2 tbsp. wine
1 1/2 tsp. salt
3 green peppers (bell peppers)
3 slices fresh ginger
3 green onions, sliced
1/2 tsp. sugar

Shred beef in about 1-inch lengths. Mix soy sauce, 1/2 cup peanut oil, cornstarch, wine, and 1/2 teaspoon salt. Marinate beef in the mixture for 1 hour.

Clean green peppers and remove seeds. Cut in slices lengthwise. Shred ginger into 1-inch strips. Heat 3 tablespoons peanut oil in a pan. Stir fry ginger, green onions, and green peppers with 1 teaspoon salt and the sugar. Stir well; add beef and mix thoroughly. Serve hot.
