RAISIN BARS 
2 c. raisins
4 c. water
1 scant c. lard
2 c. sugar
3 1/2 c. flour
2 tsp. cinnamon
1 1/2 tsp. cloves
1 tsp. salt
2 eggs, well beaten
Nuts
2 tsp. baking soda
2 tsp. nutmeg

Use large pan for cooking raisins and water. Boil 10 minutes. Add lard and cool.

Sift dry ingredients. Combine flour mix, egg and cooled raisins. Bake in jelly roll pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 25-30 minutes. Frost with powdered sugar frosting.
