DAD'S ICE TEA | |
4 tea bags 3 - 4 cups boiling water cold water 1 c. sugar 1/4 c. lemon juice 1 fresh orange 1 fresh lemon Makes one 2 litre pitcher. Pour boiling water over tea bags. Let sit for about 4 minutes. Pour in a bit of cold water, then squeeze out the tea bags, and remove. Add sugar and lemon juice. Mix well until sugar dissolves. Add enough cold water to almost fill pitcher. (leave about 1 inch room at top of pitcher) Cut one orange in 1/2 and squeeze juice into tea, as well as one lemon. Slice squeezed parts of orange and lemon and put into tea. Let sit overnight. Stir before serving. Very refreshing and Summery. My dad has been making this tea for as long as I can remember. A family favorite. Submitted by: leesermarie |
