ICE BOX CAKE 
My family's favorite...

1 large jar unsweetened applesauce
2 boxes social tea biscuits
1 pint heavy cream*
2 tbsp. sugar
1 tsp. vanilla

Note: May substitute large container of Cool Whip for heavy cream.

A large glass deep dish pan works easiest but any deep dish square pan will work.

Whip heavy cream on high, add 2 tablespoons sugar and 1 teaspoon vanilla till you have soft peaks. Set aside.

Start by covering the bottom of pan with a layer of Social Tea biscuits. Top with a layer of applesauce, spread evenly. Spread an even layer of whipped cream or (Cool Whip) and continue again layering the biscuits, applesauce, and whipped cream until you reach the top of the pan. Last layer should be whipped cream.

Tastes best if you place in freezer and remove and thaw 30 minutes prior to serving.
