SCOTCH SHORTBREAD 
3/4 c. butter, softened
1/4 c. sugar
2 c. flour

Heat oven to 350 degrees. Cream butter and sugar work in flour. Roll dough 1/2 inch thick on lightly floured board (cloth covered) cut into small shapes, place 1/2 apart on ungreased cookie sheet. Bake about 20 minutes or until set.
