CHOCOLATE CAKE 
1/2 c. vegetable oil
2 c. sugar
1 3/4 c. self-rising flour
3/4 c. cocoa
2 eggs
1 c. milk
1 c. hot water
2 tsp. vanilla

Preheat oven to 350°F. Mix cocoa and vegetable oil. Add sugar and eggs; mix. Add milk and vanilla, then flour, and then boiling water. Batter will be thin. Pour into greased cake pan, and bake about 30 minutes (or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean).

Chocolate Icing:

1 stick butter, melted
2/3 c. cocoa
3 c. powdered sugar
1/3 c. milk
1 tsp. vanilla

Mix until spreading consistency and spread on cooled cake.
