BROWN BEEF STEW | |
2 lbs. stew beef 2 tbsp. fat 4 c. boiling water 1 tsp. lemon juice 1 tsp. Worcestershire sauce 1 clove garlic 1 med. sliced onion 2 bay leaves 1 tbsp. salt 1/2 tsp. pepper 1/2 tsp. paprika 1 dash allspice 1 dash cloves (powder) 1 tbsp. sugar 1 lb. sm. white onions 6 carrots Brown meat in hot fat. Add next 12 ingredients and simmer for at least 2 hours, then cook until tender, 45 minutes. Also, you can cook potatoes to go with it. |
