BRAISED BEEF 
3 tbsp. bacon fat
2 lbs. stew beef
1 onion
1 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. pepper
1/2 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
3 tbsp. flour
2 tbsp. ketchup
1 tbsp. vinegar
2 c. boiling water

Melt fat, brown onions, add meat. When meat is brown, add other ingredients. Pour in 2 cups of boiling water and simmer for 2 hours. Serves 5-6.
