GALA PECAN SPREAD 
1 (8 oz.) pkg. cream cheese
2 tbsp. milk
1 jar (2 1/2 oz.) dried beef, diced
1/4 c. chopped green pepper
2 tbsp. instant minced onion
1/2 tsp. garlic salt
1/4 tsp. pepper
1/2 c. sour cream
1/2 c. chopped pecans (burn easily)
2 tbsp. butter
1/2 tsp. salt

Combine cream cheese and milk, beat. Add beef, green pepper, onion and seasonings, mix. Fold in sour cream. Spoon into shallow Pyrex pie plate or long dish. Melt 2 tablespoons butter and brown pecans and salt. Sprinkle over mixture in plate or dish. Bake at 350 degrees for 20 minutes. Serve on snack crackers.
