HOT PECAN SPREAD | |
1 (8 oz.) pkg. cream cheese 2 tbsp. milk 1 (2 1/2 oz.) jar dried chipped beef, chopped fine 1 sm. onion, minced or 2 tbsp. dried minced onion 1/2 tsp. garlic salt 1/4 c. green pepper, chopped fine 1/4 tsp. pepper 1/2 c. sour cream 1/2 c. pecans, chopped 2 tbsp. butter 1/2 tsp. salt Mix softened cream cheese and milk, blend thoroughly. Stir in dried beef, green pepper, onion and seasoning, mix well. Fold in sour cream. Put in an 8-inch pie plate (or chafing dish). Heat and crisp pecans in melted butter and salt. Sprinkle on top of cream cheese mixture. Bake 20 minutes at 350 degrees. Serve hot with unsalted crackers. |
