BUTTERMILK POUND CAKE 
1 c. butter
2 c. sugar
4 eggs
2 tsp. vanilla
3 c. flour
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1 c. buttermilk
Vanilla Glaze

Cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy; blend in eggs and vanilla. Add combined dry ingredients alternately with buttermilk, mixing well after each addition. Pour into greased and floured 10 inch tube or fluted tube pan. Bake at 325 degrees 1 hour and 5 minutes or until wooden pick inserted in center comes out clean. Cool 10 minutes. Remove from pan. Cool. Glaze with vanilla glaze.

VANILLA GLAZE:

1 c. sifted confectioners sugar
1 to 2 tsp. milk
1/2 tsp. vanilla

Combine ingredients, mix well; spread on top of cake and let drizzle down sides.
