BUTTERMILK POUND CAKE 
2 sticks butter
3 c. sugar
4 eggs
3 c. flour
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1 c. buttermilk

Choice of flavoring: Orange, cherry, butternut, strawberry, etc. (need 3 flavors). For chocolate cake add 3 tablespoons Hershey cocoa and 1/4 teaspoon chocolate flavoring.

Mix butter and sugar; beat well. Then put in eggs and beat until lemon color. Mix flour and soda and add alternately with buttermilk and mix well. Add flavoring. Bake at 325-350 degrees for at least 1 hour.
