CRAZY CRUST APPLE PIE 
1 c. plain flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
2 tbsp. sugar
1 egg
2/3 c. shortening
3/4 c. water
1 can apple pie filling
1 tbsp. lemon juice
1/2 tsp. cinnamon

In small bowl combine flour, baking powder, salt, sugar, egg, shortening and water. Blend well. Beat 2 minutes at medium speed. Pour batter into pie pan. Combine pie filling, lemon juice, and spice. Spoon into center of batter and around edges. Do not stir. Bake at 425 degrees for 45 to 50 minutes.

Other pie filling may be substituted. I also use fresh peaches, apples and pears, cooking down and thickening juice with cornstarch.
