MACARONI AND CHEESE CASSEROLE 
1/2 lb. macaroni
1 tsp. butter
1 egg, beaten
1 tbsp. hot water
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. dry mustard
1 c. milk
3 c. grated sharp cheese

Boil macaroni until tender, and drain thoroughly. Stir in butter and egg. Mix salt and mustard with 1 tablespoon hot water and add to milk. Add cheese, leaving enough to sprinkle on top. Pour into buttered casserole. Add milk mixture and sprinkle with cheese. Bake at 350 degrees for about 45 minutes until custard is set and top is crusty. Makes 6 servings.
