HAMBURGER STEW 
1/2 lb. ground beef
1 onion, chopped
3 cloves garlic, pressed
1 carrot, diced
2 potatoes, diced
1/4 c. soy sauce
Pepper to taste
2 c. raw rice
1/3 c. oil

Saute meat with vegetables (onion and garlic) in oil in a Dutch oven. Add the rest of the ingredients and cover with water just to cover. Cook and stir to boiling and let boil, uncovered, for 5 minutes. Stir often. Turn down heat and put on lid to steam for 4-5 more minutes. This tastes like stew, but is so easy.
