SOUTH CAROLINA PEACH SAUSAGES | |
Great slow cooked in Crock-Pot also! 1 (12-16 oz.) bag miniature sausages (I use little smokies) 1 (12-18 oz.) jar peach preserves 1 (18 oz.) bottle BBQ sauce (I use Kraft honey garlic or Cajun) black pepper, as needed Tabasco sauce, as needed Mix ingredients in pot and slowly bring to boil. Reduce heat and allow sausages to simmer on low for about an hour. The peach preserves taste better with a BBQ sauce that has a little heat to it. Tabasco sauce and black pepper help to improve the taste and counter act some of the sweetness of peaches and BBQ sauce. Add Tabasco and black pepper to your taste. Tip: The taste improves if the sausages soak overnight and are reheated next day. Submitted by: Scott Stewart - Lexington South Carolina |
