2 eggs
2 c. brown sugar
1 c. softened shortening
1 c. raisins
3 c. flour
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tbsp. cocoa
1 c. hot water

Place ingredients in bowl in order listed. Do not stir until all are in the bowl. Beat well. Spread 1/4-1/2 inch thick in greased cookie sheets and bake in moderate hot (375 degree) oven for about 20 minutes. Frost with confectioners' sugar icing while hot, if desired.
