MOLASSES COOKIES 
1 1/2 cups (3 sticks) butter
2 cups sugar
2 eggs
1/2 cup molasses
4 cups all-purpose flour
4 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. cloves
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. ginger
2 tsp. cinnamon

In a large bowl, cream together butter with sugar. Add eggs and molasses. Beat until creamy. Add dry ingredients, starting with flour. Mix well. Roll into teaspoon size balls and roll in sugar. Place on cookie sheet.

Bake at 350°F for 8 to 10 minutes or until cookies just start to darken.
