CLASSIC BEEF STROGANOFF | |
1/2 - 1/4 lb. beef sirloin or round steak 2 tbsp. butter 1 can sliced mushrooms, drained 1 sm. onion, finely chopped 1/2 c. water 1 beef bouillon 1 tbsp. catsup Garlic 1/2 tsp. salt 1/4 c. water 1 tbsp. flour 1/2 c. sour cream Cut meat into strips. Melt butter in skillet; cook and stir in mushrooms and onion until onion is tender. Remove. In same pan, brown meat, stir in 1/2 cup water, bouillon cube, catsup, garlic and salt. Reduce heat, cover and simmer 15 minutes (45 minutes if using round steak). Mix 1/4 cup water and flour; stir into meat mixture. Add mushrooms and onion; heat. Stir in sour cream and heat through. Serve over noodles. |
