Use 9 inch spring form pan. Oven at 350 degrees. Bake approximately 45 minutes. FRUIT: Italian plums, nectarines, peeled peaches or peeled apples, sliced thin and sprinkled with lemon juice Also will need: 1/4 lb. (1 stick) butter 3/4 c. sugar 2 eggs 1 c. flour plus 1/4 cup wheat germ, mixed together 1 tsp. baking powder 1 tsp. vanilla Pinch of salt 1. Prepare fruit. 2. Cream butter and sugar until fluffy, add eggs, beat well. 3. Add vanilla and salt, flour with baking powder. 4. Grease pan with butter and sprinkle bottom with wheat germ. (Makes it easier to remove and serve). 5. Pour batter in pan. Place fruit in overlapping circle. Sprinkle with brown sugar, nutmeg or cinnamon and bits of butter. |
