FRUIT COCKTAIL TORTE 
1 can fruit cocktail, drained
1 egg
1 c. flour
1 c. sugar
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 c. brown sugar
1/2 c. nuts

Break egg into bowl and beat with fork. Add fruit cocktail. Sift dry ingredients and add to the egg and fruit cocktail mixture. Place in 8"x8" pan. Mix together brown sugar and nuts and sprinkle over top. Bake in 350 degree oven for 45 minutes. Serve with whipped cream.
