PIE PASTRY SHELL 
1 c. sifted flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1 tbsp. sugar
1/8 tsp. salt
1/3 c. shortening
1 tbsp. cold water

In a large bowl sift flour, baking powder, sugar and salt. Stir, add in shortening, cut with pastry fork. Add 1 tablespoon of water, lift dough, roll on pastry shell with flour. Fit a 9" pie plate, prick with a fork. Bake empty shell at 425 degrees about 12 minutes. Cool before filling.
