GERMAN POTATO SALAD 
1/2 lb. potatoes, cooked, peeled & diced
2 green peppers, diced
1 onion, diced
1 c. celery, diced
4 slabs of bacon, cooked & crumbled
1/4 c. red wine vinegar
1/2 tsp. sugar

Combine the first 5 ingredients, set aside. In frying pan bring bacon grease to boil. Very slowly pour vinegar into grease, add sugar, pour over potato mixture and mix well. Refrigerate.

NOTE: You can make this as sour or as sweet as you want. Just add more sugar for sweetness or more vinegar for sourness. For safety put vinegar into grease while cold, then bring to boil. BETTER NEXT DAY!
