SAND TARTS 
1 c. butter
1 c. powdered sugar
2 tbsp. water
1 tsp. vanilla extract
1/4 tsp. almond extract
2 c. flour
3/4 c. nuts, finely chopped

Cream butter and sugar; add water, extracts, flour and nuts. Shape walnut-size balls of dough into crescent shapes and bake in a slow 300 degree oven for about 20 minutes. Cookies will be very lightly browned. Roll in powdered sugar.
