THE WORLD'S GREATEST TORTELLINI | |
2 tbsp. oil 1 sm. red onion (diced) 1/4 lb. sweet sausage 1/4 lb. hot sausage 3 cloves garlic (minced) 1 tbsp. dried basil 1/2 c. peas 1 lb. tortellini, cheese or meat 1 1/2 - 2 c. heavy cream 1/2 c. grated cheese Heat oil in large saute pan. Remove sausage from casing, crumble into pan and cook until it loses its red color. Add onion, garlic, basil and stir. Add peas and cook another minute or two. Add cream to mixture and reduce heat until it gets thick. Add half of the cheese. Add cooked tortellini - toss to coat. Top with remaining cheese. |
